This is a fine replacement remote especially for older people that may need larger buttons due to eyesight issues (or anyone with dexterity problems). The only drawback is that it doesn't light up so you can't see it well in a dark room. The buttons are larger and that is a great help. Only works on 2 devices which is perfect for the TV & Direct Tv - sometimes simple is better. In the past we have purchased Sony remotes that do not work with the Dish system, we did not try this one on Dish, just Directv. One other note - the product description is incorrect - the remote is NOT 11" long - they must have measured the packaging. So if you are looking for one of those very large remotes, this is not it. This one is about 5 - 6" long, but good button size for those that need that feature. |
