He is obsessed with tractors and remotes so this is a perfect combination! It is a very simple controller so he can work it all by himself but it is also fun for me to "drive" it and he likes to chase it around the house. The tractor itself is covered with a very soft plastic so I don't have to worry if it is going to run into my walls or furniture. The only weird thing is if it is turned on but not being driven, it has little spurts where it moves about an inch or two by itself. It does not happen when it's turned off. It took me a bit to figure out what the noise was in the toy box! Its only the first of April and the turning part doesnt work. My son loves this and I'm sad that it wasn't more durable. It also goes once and a while on its own. I thought about getting him another, but since they all seem to have the same problems, and this wasn't a fluke, I'm not wasting my money. Now I am puzzled how come this toy could have received such glowing reviews?Sponsored comments or just very unlucky on my end? There were two major issues with this delivery; for one the description clearly stated that the toy comes with batteries (2AA batteries included). This was wrong on two levels: a) there were no batteries included with the shipment and b) this toy requires 3 AA and 1 9V battery. So whoever wrote the product description must have had a rough night before because he/she/it clearly missed the mark the next day. So, before anything could be done, a trip to the store was in order to get the tractor on the road. When it finally ran, it wasn't off to a good start.
