This review is from: Lasko 1646 16-Inch Remote Control Stand Fan, White (Misc.) It has been 3 months since I purchased this fan and I absolutely love it. It does make the whirring noise associated with all the stand fans but nothing that's annoying. The only thing I don't like is the loud beep it gives out when I turn it off. It is very comfortable even at its lowest setting but I still didn't get a chance to evaluate its performance during those hot summer months (I'm in Miami). A very good value for the money and the remote control is a plus. Overall, I really like this fan and would definitely recommend it. UPDATE: I've had this fan for more than 2 years now and I never had a single issue with it. My roommate has the smaller bedroom which becomes cooler faster from the central A/C than the master bedroom I have and I bought this fan to maintain a comfortable temperature. This fan was amazing even in the Miami summers and for a light sleeper like myself the white noise from the fan is a blessing is disguise when you live in an apartment...
