It has plenty of room for remotes and even your eyeglass case, medicine bottle, etc. It swivels and is made very well. The only problem I had was with the seller. He put the item in too big of a box with no protective packaging. It had a small scratch on it. This review is from: Totes Men's Remote Control Caddy, Brown, One Size (Tools & Home Improvement) This item holds all the remote controls I have in the livingroom (4) and a small book of positive thoughts with room to burn. I love that it spins. It's dark chocolate brown although the picture shows a light wood color. The only thing I did not like was the spinning plate underneath with the screw in the middle caused a scratch on my wooden end table. No problem as I have the wood color markers to fix that right up... In addition I cut a round piece of stick-on felt (the size of the spinning circle on the bottom), applied it and wala smooth spinning and no scratches.
